Mindfulness Practitioner

Yoga Teacher

Hello and welcome to my website!

Having worked as both a mental health nurse and health visitor for several different NHS Trusts in the South of England for nearly 25 years, I have been able to be alongside alot of different peoples over the years in their time of need. I really feel that being able to offer mindfulness courses and yoga classes

Prior to training as a yoga teacher I had been practising a variety of yoga styles for nearly 30 years, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Iyengar and Yin, eventually deciding to train as a Level 3 yoga teacher in 2020, whilst studying for a Masters in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

In 2017 I was really inspired to explore mindfulness meditation and its emotional health benefits further after attending a VIP seminar with Visiting Professor Ruby Wax, OBE, at the University of Surrey.

Ruby's honesty about her own mental health struggles with the chronic condition of Bi-Polar Disorder and how practising mindfulness meditation helped manage this, was incredible to listen to.

Ruby also shared how this had led her onto the journey of applying to study for the Masters in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) practitioner training course at the University of Oxford.

I am in the processes of setting up my own private mindfulness therapeutic practice offering the options of either the MBCT for Depression or Mindfulness For Life 8 week courses online, along with continuing to teach yoga classes in person.

Wishing you all well and to be free from suffering.

Namaste 🙏🏽
